3 Months! And Happy Easter!
Finn is three months old now! A billion mothers have told me, "Enjoy it. They grow up so fast!" And, yeah, now I agree. It's amazing that I've only known him for 3 months (and the 9 months he was in my belly). He's developing so fast -- smiling, chuckling, rolling over. I cleaned out the fridge today, and I threw out stuff that was older than he is.
I'm really enjoying watching him learn about his surroundings. It's pretty amazing to see him discover "the baby" in the mirror, or the animals, or new people, and it makes me try to see my environment through new eyes.
It's still a little paranoia-inducing to be a parent (Let's be honest.) and to have a child's development and learning be dependent on you. But he's not so breakable any more, and he's so darn fun to play with and talk to.
Also of note: Tomorrow is the first day of my new part-time job! I'll be working enough to maintain our health insurance, but I'll be able to work at home some days. Yay!
Also of note: I've been doing CrossFit for a week now, and I'm actually psyched to workout! I mean, let's not kid ourselves, it really sucks while you're doing it, but man, I feel good when it's over. We're also gradually inching our way to a strictly Paleo diet, and I feel really good about it. If for no other reason than I'd like to NOT get cancer or arthritis or Alzheimer's one day if I can help it. I mean, it's worth a shot, for pete's sake. I'll let you know how it goes!
